Grammarly makes you a better writer. No matter if you are writing emails for work or blog articles or you are writing a book. Without Grammarly, you are making it unnecessarily hard on yourself.
Using Grammarly will improve your writing skill by showing you all of the mistakes you are making.
It is not just punctuation, but it will point out where you are using passive voice instead of active voice; it will add transition phrases, show you where clarity is an issue, and much more.
Grammarly Premium is a paid upgrade that offers over 400 types of checks and features.
What Does Grammarly Cost?
A free version will spot and fix misspelled words, imperfect grammar, and punctuation mistakes. The free version is a handy feature, and I used it on my first website, but when I tried Grammarly Premium, its usefulness sold me. I had to redo all my first sites articles with Premium, and wow, were they poorly written. I won't be without the Premium version again.
The Premium cost is $30 per month, or you can pay $144 for a year, which equals $12 per month.
Makes Writing Easier
I generally type away, putting my thoughts down, and when done, I let Grammarly do the work of polishing up what I write. It saves me a tremendous amount of time and gives me a better-finished result. For example, the image below was a suggestion for this paragraph.
Keeps You Looking Proffessional
There is nothing worse than publishing an article or book and realizing you have an error. Grammarly will help prevent that and save you time and money from fixing mistakes.
Is Grammarly Always Correct
It's not a matter of being incorrect, but I don't always agree with the suggestions. So I use a three-step process:
- Write focusing on getting my thoughts down.
- Next, I go through all of the suggestions implementing most of them. Occassional I disagree and keep what I wrote.
- I read the article and make any changes I want. Anything I write Grammarly will offer suggestions if need be.
Grammarly makes you better; it is that simple. Without it, I would be a terrible writer (not claiming to be good). However, the price is well worth the benefits it provides, and if you try it, you will see what I mean. I am not one for paying subscription fees, but this is one I happily pay. While writing this, I realized I was paying the $30 monthly, so I immediately upgraded to pay Grammarly annually to get it for $12 a month.
